Our most frequently asked questions.

What do I need to rent a golf cart?

Renters must be 25 years of age, have a driver’s license,  and proof of auto insurance and a valid credit card.

What is the legality of driving the carts?

These are fully street legal, low speed electric vehicles. Renters are required to follow all local traffic laws and traffic signals. Carts are also subject to the same parking regulations as a normal vehicle.

Where am I allowed to drive the cart?

Our carts are allowed anywhere where the posted speed limit is below 35 mph. Carts cannot be driven on bridges, on boardwalks or the beach and should not be driven through large puddles.

How long does the battery last on a full charge?

On average, 15-20 Miles. To maximize battery life, gradually accelerate (do not floor it) and avoid driving at full speed for extended periods. The more conservatively you drive the more life you will get out of the battery.

What about charging the carts?

Charge in a normal 110/ 20amp outlet and make sure the cart has an outlet for itself (nothing else plugged in). Takes 10 hours to charge. Keep cart plugged in whenever not in use. When charging the golf cart pay attention to the charger indicator lights under the seat - it should be blinking when charging.

How fast do the carts go?

Our carts get as fast as 25 mph.

Can my other family members drive the cart too?

All drivers must be 25-years-old, and Orange Moose has to have a copy of drivers’ licenses for documentation. No one under 25-years-old, or without a documented license, is allowed to drive the cart.

Are there any accessories or attachments?

For inclement weather, we rent enclosures for $50 daily. To better transport your beach gear, we have cargo racks available for $75 daily.

What happens if we break down?

Call the number on the side of the golf cart! 609-435-8072. Phone is on from 7am - 7pm.
